I needed a light organ sound in the 4th movement and Garritan flute organ fit the bill working like a charm. Then a professional brass band wanted one of my pieces so I beefed up the original with instant orchestra patches, the ones with warm and natural brass plus some of the cymbals and chimes. HereвЂ™s the Garritan track that got me the commission: It was enough money to send my family to the Philippines to help out my wifeвЂ™s family. They needed it fast, and there was no purpose spending time on a great mock-up, so I simply use Garritan samples in Finale and got the project done.
